Alexa has done some really creepy things this year. From laughing like a crazy maniac to sending a recording of a private conversation to one the owner’s contacts. And now Alexa has added another incident to the list. Amazon’s virtual digital assistant recently spooked its owner saying that all she sees is people dying.According to a report by the UK Metro, earlier this month, 30-year-old Shwan Kinnear from San Francisco was walking from his kitchen to his living room when Amazon Echo burst into life and said, “Every time I close my eyes, all I see is people dying.”Kinnear, who had received Amazon Echo as a Christmas present back in 2016, told the English daily that he had Amazon Prime on his TV paused when the virtual digital assistant delivered a creepy statement followed by a long silence. However, when he asked Alexa to repeat the statement, she did not understand. He further said that while Alexa spoke in her normal voice the incident was so sudden that he had no time to record it. Kinnear further said that he uses the smart speaker occasionally to watch weather report and sports news, however now, he is considering to disconnect the device permanently. “I don’t use much integrated home tech. I have a lot of other tech stuff. Computers, gaming, so on. But my house is about 80 years old so a lot of the integration doesn’t work,” he told the English daily. As mentioned earlier, this is not the first incident when Alexa’s eriee “behaviour” has spooked its owners. Back in May this year, Alexa recorded the private conversation of a couple in Portland, United States via an Echo Dot smart speaker and sent it to the husband’s colleague all the way in Seattle. The incident was later confirmed by an Amazon spokesperson who issued a clarification saying that the virtual digital assistant must have misunderstood the conversation for a command.advertisementALSO READ: Alexa secretly records private chat of husband and wife, sends it to a random contactIn yet another incident which took place back in March this year, Alexa broke out into a loud cackle via Echo speakers all of a sudden.
